Bryce C. Barros

Associate Fellow

Bryce C. Barros is a Nonresident Fellow with GLOBSEC’s GeoTech Hub focused on the nexus of emerging technologies and defense across the Indo-Pacific and Transatlantic. Previously, he led the foreign policy and defense team for Senator Edward J. Markey. His prior roles at the German Marshall Fund, Defense Innovation Unit, and Kharon have centered on U.S. strategic competition with China, emerging technologies, strategic trade controls, sanctions, and the convergence of Indo-Pacific and Transatlantic threats. Bryce has lived in Taiwan for three and a half years in Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Kaohsiung. He holds degrees from Norwich University and Texas A&M University and is an honorary member of the 81st Class of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Military Academy. He speaks Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and European Portuguese.
