On 19 March 2024, GLOBSEC US Foundation held a closed door roundtable focused on the latest
developments in Ukraine, Russia’s efforts to enlarge the scope of war in the region ahead of its upcoming
presidential elections and Ukraine’s continuing expectations from the United States and other allies. As
efforts to provide additional military aid to Ukraine continue to stall in the U.S. Congress, the discussion
highlighted first-hand accounts of the mood in Ukraine and how European nations are stepping into the
breach.

The event was attended by a group of reporters, policy practitioners, and subject matter experts, with
Iuliia Osmolovska, a veteran Ukrainian diplomat and now head of GLOBSEC’s Kyiv office, delivering
insights on scenarios for the war in Ukraine and public attitudes in the country.
